   The Dinotopia Series is a fantastic series of books written by a team of authors who clearly are fantastic writers. When, in river quest, they block the canyon, you get a good insight as to what the characters are feeling and how they have changed throughout the story. In return to lost city, which I haven't quite finished yet, you really pity Blundertail for his innocence, kindness, and ignorance. Near the end, when he founds out what has really been happening, you get a sense of self disappointment. I won't spoil any more for you, but search the IBSN if you want to read the whole book. (I am republishing this so that i can have serious reveiws on my message board)

   the review's done it's primary job to sell the book to me--i want to pick it up and you've told me where. only it becomes vague in exposition--please explain blundertrail and a little of ur insight not emotion. like lets say salman's rushdie takes a flight in world of fantasy but the characters are petty and human.i think a critic garners more respect if he adds to the story. all authors are critics somewhere and critics authors in their own right.

   ok march, blundertail is a bit of an idiot, but he doesn't mean it, and he doesn't even know that it's him who is breaking things. this makes you pity him and until the end when he finds out he is really let down.BTW you shuold probably know that he is a dinosaur.
