A Special Place

I’m going to tell you about a place very close to my heart. A peaceful and calm place that does not care of the time of day, or the weather outside or even this year’s fashions.

We are all familiar with this place as we spend much of our time here and even though we do so, we would like to be here more often. It is not a holiday home or a special city. It is not a favourite restaurant or day spa, but is a place from which we leave feeling refreshed.

This place is bed and heaven.

I read the story twice; once silently and once aloud. Reading the story silently, the words seemed stilted and I had to re-read a few sentences to get the meaning and intent. Read aloud, the story had a better flow, but some of the sentences seem awkward. I did appreciate the theme of the story, as I do enjoy a good bed. I think that perhaps you might need to redo the second and third sentences. They could be broken up or maybe some punctuation might help.

I like the ending of the story. I did not expect one of the places to be heaven, but the bed I got.

Short, but it's sweet - I got the bed bit at the end but not the heaven, as none of us really know what it's like to be there, but we know what it's like to be in bed.
